Statement of Practice

Sean Reed began his career at Jacobson Urbanic in the summer of 2022 with a focus on Civil Litigation.

Sean received his B.S. in Business Economics from Marquette University, where he served as Vice President of the business school’s Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity chapter. While at Marquette, Sean began writing comedic and dramatic productions with the Second City Theater in Chicago, an endeavor which he would continue until beginning law school. In addition to his time with Second City, Sean worked in the Wealth Support group at Thomson Reuters after graduating from Marquette.

Sean is a 2021 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he appeared on the Dean’s List for high academic achievement. While at Wisconsin, Sean took courses with the Prosecution Project, a clinic which works alongside District Attorney’s Offices throughout the State of Wisconsin. During law school, Sean interned at both the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office in Santa Barbara, California, and the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, where he worked with the Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit.

Despite being licensed to practice in Wisconsin, after law school Sean returned to his hometown of Sacramento to begin his legal career. Following graduation and passing the bar, his first position began in January 2022 as a law clerk for the Honorable Christopher D. Jaime in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California.

Sean has joined the tort litigation team at Jacobson Urbanic, specializing in the defense of negligence, premises liability, product liability, motor vehicle accident and employment law litigation.
